The Immigrant Council of Ireland’s (ICI) Information and Support Service provides detailed confidential information about complex issues within the Irish immigration system. Callers with complex cases may be referred to the ICI's Legal Service. Consultations with the Legal Service are by referral and appointment only and are limited by availabilty and capacity. 

Please note if you are unsuccessful in getting through to the telephone service, try again later as the service often experiences busy periods where all Information Officers are on calls.

This website also provides information which may answer your questions about your rights and entitlements on a range of issues.

Each year, the ICI deals with enquiries and requests for information and assistance related to immigration and integration issues from about 10,000 individuals and 250 organisations.

Since 2005, the Citizens Information Board has funded a dedicated telephone helpline to enable its nationwide network of Citizens Information Centres to contact the ICI directly. In this way, the ICI works with the centres’ staff and volunteers when responding to enquiries about immigration issues and provides updates on policy and procedural changes to the system.
 

The Information and Referral Service can help with enquiries about:

We can refer people to the appropriate organisations for information about:

• domestic violence support services

• voluntary return programmes

• asylum
