Paul Fallon
Paul Fallon is the Integration Support Coordinator with Galway City Council, leading the Local Authority Integration Team and overseeing services for people seeking international protection, refugees and migrant communities. He previously held similar roles with Clare County Council and Galway County Council.
With over 20 years' experience across local government, youth work, humanitarian organisations and human rights, Paul has worked with UNHCR, the South African Red Cross, the HSE, Depaul Ireland, Doras, and organisations in the Middle East, including Al Marsad and Al Qaws. His work focuses on integration, strategic planning, partnership development, governance, and promoting inclusion and anti-racism through training and community initiatives.
Paul has also worked as a researcher and journalist specialising in migration and human rights, contributing to policy discussions and writing for Al Jazeera, Ma'an News and The Palestine Monitor.
Paul received the Charlemagne Youth Prize for his work on intercultural dialogue and youth participation. He served on the National Youth Council of Ireland’s International Advisory Committee, the Intercultural Learning and Development Education Committee, and the European Youth Forum’s Human Rights Working Group. Paul holds an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from the University of Galway.
