The Immigrant Council of Ireland is currently seeking applications for the following position:

Title of position: Campaigns and Advocacy Officer
Reporting to: Communications and Advocacy Manager
Location: 2 St Andrew St, Dublin 2
This is a 12 month, part-time role (4 days per week), subject to funding. A 6 month probationary period applies.

Purpose of position
The Immigrant Council of Ireland is recruiting a Campaigns and Advocacy Officer to assist in the delivery of the organisation’s key goals, in line with its strategic plan.
As part of the communications and advocacy team, the Campaigns and Advocacy Officer will have a working knowledge of Irish politics and the media landscape, and the institutions of the European Union. A passion for social justice and particularly migrants’ rights is essential. Experience in a communications, campaigns or lobbying role would be advantageous.
The Campaigns and Advocacy Officer will have top-notch organisational and communications skills, and be a strong networker with the ability to engage with partner organisations, policymakers, politicians and the media.
A key function of this role is to assist in the development of strategic advocacy and communications activities and materials, to help achieve the Immigrant Council’s organisational goals. A clear allegiance to the principles and values of the organisation is essential. Digital and design skills are highly desirable.
